Conclusion

HTML Documentation for Internal Documents is already available, though in a reduced scale in MIC. Although not available from any commercial platform, thus requiring some effort, it is for now the only alternative to inappropriate MS tools, like MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint. In short:

• Hard-copy printing as standard distribution method should be rejected and replaced by on-line browsing for internal documents.
• Internal document platform requires:
  • version management
  • access speed
  • on-line availability
  • platform openness
• Internal Documentation platform requires administration and maintenance resources
• Internal document platform may require:
  • implementation of features which will need resources
• Internal document platform does not require:
  • high output quality
