Test Management

It is important to control the reproducibility of tests, which would be best guaranteed by running the tests either from a makefile (under clearmake) or from and audited shell.

In any case, all the material used (tools, test cases, test data, etc.) should be saved under control of the configuration management system.

This is true as well of any related documentation (instructions etc.), so that it can be related (e.g. through labeling module testing or hyperlinks) to the procedures it covers.

Unfortunately all this is not possible to be included in test phases after module and unit testing. The whole environment is different - we do not have ClearCase in IT environment. The entire scope of test management changes to concentrate on build-installation mgmt Vs. test case mgmt.
