The "we and they" opposition: structural or methodological?

Escaping formal oppositions doesn't achieve consensus. It is merely a negation of negation. There is no point in discussing of something one agrees about.

Discrimination is a powerful methodological tool. Oppositions are not essential, rather methodological.

Conflict is fine. It should be anticipated, acknowledged and managed. Not avoided.

Support for diversity is a precondition for convergence.
